Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks an experienced Substation Operations Manager to oversee the distribution and transmission substation maintenance within a defined region, including New Bedford, Plymouth, and Yarmouth. You will manage assets, safety initiatives, KPIs, and cost-effective reliability of electric service.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of substation experience; MS or MBA preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Ten+ years of related substation experience; energy delivery experience preferred.
Valid Driver's License.
Supervisory experience preferred.
MS in Engineering or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance of assigned assets according to prescribed schedules and methods.
Participate in establishing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methods and initiatives and manage RCM application.
Support repair vs. replace decisions (O&M vs capital).
Monitor KPI trends, identify issues and drive improvements.
Develop and manage budgets, plans and resources for the region.
Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with safety programs.
Cover station operations in New Bedford, Plymouth, and Yarmouth; travel as necessary.
