Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction seeks a Senior Preconstruction Manager to act as the senior owner's representative during the preconstruction phase for industrial facilities. You will autonomously manage complex programs, lead budgets and design management, and coordinate with Real Estate, Finance, and external partners across assigned regions.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, Owner’s project management representative or related disciplines.
7+ years of project management experience from design through operation, including negotiating contracts and procurement.
Experience within packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment or similar.

Responsibilities

Autonomously manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection to contract execution.
Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and external stakeholders to secure resources and milestones.
Oversee design management end-to-end and perform budgeting, estimation, and schedule tracking.
Lead external partner selection, contract negotiations, and project procurement functions.
Mentor other preconstruction managers and contribute to playbooks and best practices.
