Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Senior Preconstruction Manager to act as Amazon's senior owner's representative during the preconstruction phase of facility delivery.

You will autonomously manage complex, cross-functional projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution for new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 7+ years of project management experience in design through operation.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously manage complex cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Oversee design management end-to-end and value engineering assessments; manage budgets and spend approvals.
• Lead external partner selection, contract negotiations, and project procurement; coordinate with AHJ for permitting and compliance.
