Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma is seeking a dynamic Manager, Regional Sales – Specialty to lead a field-based team of 8–10 Territory Sales Managers within a defined U.S. region.

You will drive sales budgets, coach professionals, and foster compliant, high-performance execution across the region. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in pharmaceutical sales leadership, a strong track record of top-quartile performance, and experience in Urology.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• 4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales management (first-line leader with direct people accountability) is preferred.
• A proven, consistent, and documented track record of top ranked pharmaceutical performance is required.
• 3 or more years of Urology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve/exceed sales budgets and regional objectives across territories.
• Demonstrate Catalyst Leadership, coach sales professionals, and promote accountability and teamwork.
• Provide regular, tailored coaching focused on sales effectiveness and development.
• Analyze regional product/competitor trends and market dynamics to drive regional strategies.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Market Access, Marketing, Operations, HR, Training, Compliance, and Medical Science Liaisons.
