Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is seeking a senior municipal sales leader to oversee sales for Meters and PVF.

You will lead and develop a regional municipal sales team to surpass company sales and profit goals, while shaping pricing strategy and handling key pricing decisions with top vendors. This role involves direct sales participation, strategic planning, and mentoring staff to drive growth across municipal, private water utilities, and contractor accounts.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline.
• Generally 7+ years experience in sales leadership or related field.
• Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Directly take part in sales calls with direct reports to strengthen customer relationships and uncover possible opportunities for growth.
• Work with management and the sales force to analyze business strategies affecting growth and finances.
• Develop sales programs and track performance of such programs. Plan, forecast, and establish monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit goals for the regional sales team.
• Communicate and negotiate special pricing and product availability with top vendors in region.
• Manage and develop the sales force. Recruit the best talent and continuously train direct reports in areas such as sales techniques, time management, decision making, and market dynamics.
• Train and assist management on sales procedures.
