Job summary

Hamilton Company, a leader in precision fluid handling, is expanding its automated liquid handling sales team in Raleigh/Durham, NC. We seek a regional sales rep to accelerate growth, prospect new accounts, and partner with account owners to win opportunities.

You will build a strong pipeline, collaborate with Automation Consulting Engineers, and travel 30–60% within the region to engage customers and advance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of sales or business development experience in life sciences, capital equipment, or laboratory instrumentation.
• Must have experience with Automated Liquid Handling Equipment.
• Demonstrated success in lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline development.
• Experience with automated liquid handling or laboratory automation is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with scheduling software and integrated solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify new customer opportunities in the Raleigh/Durham region.
• Develop pipeline and drive new business with regional teams.
• Conduct product presentations and discovery discussions with prospective customers.
• Collaborate with territory Automation Consulting Engineers (ACEs) to support technical validation and solution design.
• Generate and nurture leads through outbound outreach and events.
• Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline management in CRM (HubSpot).
• Support trade shows, conferences, and regional events to generate new leads.
• Transition qualified opportunities to account owners or continue co-selling through close, depending on deal strategy.
