Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Regional Sales Director in Houston to lead a high-performing field-based sales team and drive the growth of a rare disease product. You will recruit, mentor, and develop the team, execute regional business plans, and build strong hospital/IDN partnerships to ensure successful product launches.

You will engage diverse clinical stakeholders, guide cross-functional launch readiness, and influence payer and access strategies to optimize market access and commercial results.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Life Sciences.
• 4+ years of first-line sales leadership experience; 2+ years navigating hospital systems/IDNs.
• Experience as a launch leader in rare disease, oncology, immunology, or specialty biopharmaceutical markets.
• Strong background in oncology or specialty therapeutics with diverse clinical stakeholder engagement.
• Deep understanding of P&T processes, formulary decision-making, and institutional market access dynamics.
• Player-coach with strategic leadership, field engagement and team development.
• Experience leading cross-functional launch readiness initiatives with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing regional sales team.
• Develop and execute regional business plans and a launch strategy.
• Build relationships with key influencers across C-suite to directors in accounts.
• Develop and present clinical, pharmacoeconomic and business cases to customers.
• Analyze regional account performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Lead performance coaching and succession planning to drive results.
• Collaborate with payer/ACCESS teams on prior authorization, coverage policies and buy-and-bill.
