Job summary

IES is seeking an experienced Safety professional to implement and monitor safety policies across locations within the region. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and customer safety standards, and leads safety initiatives to prevent incidents.

The ideal candidate has CHST or equivalent, OSHA certifications, seven years of safety experience in construction/telecommunications, and strong communication skills. Travel, OT, and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum seven years of construction safety experience; telecom/electrical preferred.
• CHST certification or equivalent; OSHA knowledge (29 CFR 1926).
• OSHA 510/500, OSHA 30, First Aid CPR certified.
• Proficient in MS Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fully support safety policies and programs and applicable federal/state standards.
• Ensure compliance with IES safety policies and site/customer site policies and programs.
• Develop action plans for branches/regions not meeting safety goals.
• Deliver safety training and develop related training materials.
• Schedule and coordinate safety audits/inspections for compliance.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Travel as required for business needs.
