Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager 2 to oversee safety programs at assigned profit centers. You will implement policies, train coordinators, and drive evidence-based safety improvements across branches within your region.

Responsibilities include inspections, audits, reporting, and supporting incident investigations. Travel is required; a 5+ year background in SH&E and strong Excel/Office skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Safety, Health and Environmental Management.
• OHST, CHST, SMS or GSP certifications preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present information in classroom or conference calls.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic SH&E plans with measurable goals.
• Willingness to travel; overnight travel required.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve organizational performance.
• Oversee the overall integrity and quality of safety protocols at branches in the region.
• Conduct PC safety compliance inspections and audits per program criteria.
• Provide training and guidance to Safety Coordinators in each Branch.
• Identify deficiencies and prescribe corrective actions; assist with deadlines.
• Assist Branch Safety Coordinator with training and documentation maintenance.
• Track Regions/Branches to identify adherence to Leading Indicator Program.
• Help develop annual SH&E Business Plan with regional targets.
• Lead monthly Safety Coordinator calls for the region.
• Lead the annual Safety Coordinator Boot Camp in the Region.
• Train staff on Sunbelt Safety Tools.
• Support investigations of incidents and near-misses with PCM/Branch.
