Job summary

Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a Regional Technical Manager to oversee field technical operations for Roofing Systems across a geographic area. You will supervise the technical team, partner with the District Sales Manager to target contractors, improve installation quality, and ensure timely product issue resolution.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree or extensive product experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 50% in support of business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 10 years of building product experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience dealing with customers in a technical capacity in low slope commercial roofing
• 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent leadership background
• Solid leadership and customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Proven negotiation and problem-resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop field technical organization; onboarding training plan and ongoing career development
• Develop and implement a selective contractor base with District Sales Manager to grow sales
• Respond to issues with contractors to resolve installation issues
• Manage up to $10,000 repair procedure authority
• Provide proactive services to contractors to improve quality and workmanship
• Respond to product complaints promptly (within one business day)
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
