Job summary

Johns Manville in the United States is seeking a Regional Technical Manager for Roofing Systems to lead the field technical organization within a geographic area. You will supervise the team, collaborate with the District Sales Manager to grow contractor base and ensure quality workmanship, handle product complaints, and drive the technical aspects of the business.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree or equivalent experience, strong roofing knowledge, leadership, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 10 years of building product experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience dealing with customers in a technical capacity in low slope commercial roofing
• 3 years supervisory experience
• Solid knowledge of roofing practices
• Knowledge of legal issues relating to roofing or construction
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Proven negotiation and problem resolution abilities
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Ability to interface at all organizational levels
• Medium travel (up to 50%)
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Primary work environment is not a typical office setting

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop field technical organization and onboarding plans
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager to grow contractor base and drive profitable revenue
• Respond proactively to issues and address installation problems with contractors
• Exercise up to $10,000 repair procedure authority
• Support Peak Advantage Contractor Program and improve workmanship
• Address product complaints promptly (within one business day)
• Perform other duties as assigned
