Job summary

Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a Regional Technical Manager to lead field technical operations for Roofing Systems across a geographic area including NJ, NY, PA, CT and MA. A technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in customer-facing roofing is required, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

You will supervise field staff, collaborate with the District Sales Manager to target contractors, manage product complaints, and exercise repair

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 10 years of building product experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience dealing with customers in a technical capacity in low slope commercial roofing.
• Thorough knowledge of roofing practices.
• Solid leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop field technical organization; including onboarding training plan and ongoing career development.
• Work with District Sales Manager to develop and implement a selective contractor base that grows sales.
• Respond to issues in a proactive manner and resolve installation issues with contractors.
• Have up to $10,000 repair procedure authority.
• Provide proactive services to increase quality and workmanship while meeting commitments.
• Respond to product complaints in a timely manner; may perform other related duties.
