Job summary
Johns Manville is seeking a Technical Representative to work with Sales Representatives, training customers and performing field inspections. The role covers West Chester to Pittsburg and parts of upstate NY with travel up to 50%.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant roofing experience, plus strong communication and presentation skills. Base salary is in the advertised range with an incentive bonus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 3 years roofing experience.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience giving presentations and negotiating.
- Ability to learn software like Guarantee Management System.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of field applications with JM contractors.
- Demonstrate new products to owners, specifiers and contractors.
- Improve owner relationships and resolve guarantee claims.
- Conduct training seminars for owners, specifiers and contractors.
- Maintain relationships with Johns Manville approved contractors
- Travel up to 50% of the year; field work at customer sites
