Job summary

Whataburger Restaurants is seeking a Restaurant Maintenance Supervisor to lead a field-based maintenance team across a multi-site portfolio. You will drive preventative maintenance programs, coach technicians, and ensure uptime of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen systems while maintaining health and safety standards.

The role requires travel across the region with a home-office component and a strong focus on process improvement and cost control.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
• 5+ years supporting restaurants, food service, or multi-site facilities.
• Proven experience managing preventative maintenance programs.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and building systems.
• Strong understanding of health regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams.
• Experience managing vendors and external service providers.
• Solid project management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of technicians and lead performance to maintenance standards.
• Ensure high facility and equipment uptime through proactive strategies.
• Manage maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen and building systems.
• Prioritize work orders using CMMS tools and track performance.
• Develop and improve preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with vendors and external service providers.
