Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen systems across multiple San Antonio area restaurants. This field-based role supports after-hours and on-call maintenance with travel to partner sites.

You will manage work orders, document repairs, and coordinate with restaurant leadership and vendors to keep operations running smoothly. HVAC/refrigeration experience and EPA/CFC certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ year field experience in HVAC and refrigeration.
• 1+ year experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment.
• EPA or CFC Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across HVAC, refrigeration and kitchen systems.
• Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance to restore operations.
• Document repairs and manage work orders and parts inventory.
• Coordinate with leadership and vendors; travel to multiple restaurants as needed.
