Job summary

Whataburger Restaurants is seeking a Regional Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across your region, ensuring safe, reliable, and high‑performing restaurant facilities. You will oversee capital improvements, develop maintenance professionals, and coordinate with operations and real estate to support growth.

This field‑based role requires 6+ years of multi‑site experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of facilities, restaurant, hospitality, or multi-site experience.
• Experience leading maintenance technicians and field teams.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance operations and project execution.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and contractor relationships.
• Ability to travel and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations across the region to ensure safe, reliable facilities.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage capital projects including enhancements and new unit openings.
• Partner with Brand Leaders to align initiatives with goals.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures for fiscal accountability.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and respond to urgent needs.
• Lead performance of vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and responsiveness.
• Hire and develop maintenance team members across the region.
• Ensure completion of fire, safety, and regulatory inspections.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to deliver initiatives.
