Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking an Area Leader to oversee multiple restaurant locations in Southern California.

You’ll drive growth, coach GM/AM/SL teams, and maintain brand standards while ensuring compliance with safety and quality policies. The role requires building strong operations, managing budgets, analyzing KPIs, and partnering with People Services, Loss Prevention, and Marketing to execute regional plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; BA/BS preferred.
• 5+ years general management experience.
• 3+ years QSR area leadership or district management experience preferred.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze reports.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, coach, and mentor restaurant leadership teams including GMs, AMs, and SLs.
• Provide ongoing coaching to ensure teams meet/exceed expectations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative area culture with adherence to standards.
• Manage annual budgets for each restaurant location and target financial goals.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions for improvement.
• Control costs through inventory, scheduling, and resource allocation leadership.
• Collaborate with GMs to develop strategic area plans to reduce costs and boost sales.
• Conduct regular visits to ensure training, scheduling, safety, and quality compliance.
