Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Project Director to oversee a single project and ensure its strategic plan is executed with a solid understanding of Workforce Development protocols. You will apply a working knowledge of the field and lead and support the Corporate Management Team to maintain quality and integrity across all workforce functions.

You will serve as the primary local contact with WSDET and TWC, oversee operations across twelve counties, and ensure contract compliance and program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in operational leadership and management.
• 3+ years of demonstrated ability working in a dynamic team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• 2+ years of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Willingness to uphold Career Team’s core values and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead a team with different working styles.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling personnel matters with confidentiality and diplomacy.
• Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary local contact and contract liaison with Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas (WSDET) and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
• Oversee daily programmatic operations across the twelve-county Deep East region.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and program monitoring.
• Prepare and manage multiple funding streams’ rates to keep the project on track and drive metrics and performance.
• Lead high-functioning teams to execute program initiatives while coaching staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with Board, employers, community organizations, and workforce partners across Deep East region.
• Support business development and identify growth opportunities within the project, state, and region.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions and annual performance evaluations of the team.
• Approach daily tasks with a proactive mindset.
• Perform other duties as needed.
