Job summary

Career TEAM LLC is seeking a Project Director in Merced County, CA to lead staff and oversee administration, programs, and strategic planning. The role ensures performance and compliance across WIOA Title 1 Adult and Dislocated Worker initiatives and partnerships.

The candidate will manage a high-functioning team, collaborate with Workforce Board partners, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery, with onsite expectations and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, or community development.
• 5+ years of operations experience.
• 5+ years in business, marketing, public relations, education, and/or workforce development services.
• Knowledge of planning and organizing work standards, processes, and references to regularly assist management
• Understanding of technical support underlying issues related to customer problems and taking action to prevent future occurrences
• Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead a team with different working styles
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality
• Sharp attention to detail with organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management or customer relations software
• A Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise staff and oversee administration, programs, and strategic plan.
• Oversee all aspects of WIOA Title 1, Adult and Dislocated Worker programs.
• Ensure programmatic performance and compliance standards.
• Lead planning and implementation of policies for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with local Workforce Board partners to meet local area needs.
• Hire, train, and develop staff and ensure effective on-boarding.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation and reports.
• Drive on-time delivery and excellence in service delivery.
