Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Regional Product Support Engineer to back field engineers and product support personnel. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electro‑mechanical equipment, robots, and associated systems across assigned regions.

Travel up to 30% (domestic and international) is required. You will provide escalation support, mentor fellow engineers, and collaborate with account teams to align on technical solutions and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to account teams and customers where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
• Formulate root cause hypotheses, data-driven analysis and action plans with clear problem statements and success criteria.
• Provide quality remote and on-site escalation support and escalation management.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and coordinate multiple tasks to resolution.
• Work directly with customers to meet their needs with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with customers and coworkers while adhering to safety policies.
• Able to work in a clean room environment and wear required PPE, with long hours in a demanding setting.
• Work flexible shifts and be on-call including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Develop customer confidence through credible recommendations and understanding of customer perspective to support sales and service.
• Participate in Lam’s worldwide technical community and share knowledge to enhance learning.
• Act as technical mentor for field and account engineers and may conduct training sessions.
• Liaise between account teams and GPS for equipment support issues.
