Job summary

Lam Research in Taylor, Texas, is seeking a Regional Product Support Engineer to back field engineers and technicians across Lam's robotics platforms. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex electromechanical equipment and software issues while delivering timely customer service.

The role emphasizes hands-on mentoring, knowledge sharing, and leading platform escalations for Dextro, Etch, Deposition, and Clean products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or equivalent with at least 5 years of semiconductor equipment experience.
• Master’s degree is a plus; PhD optional.
• Mechatronics/robotics experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated.
• Develops customer confidence through credible recommendations and understanding of the customer’s perspective, supporting sales, service, and revenue.
• Participates in Lam’s worldwide technical community and shares knowledge to enhance learning.
• Acts as technical mentor for field and account engineers and may design or conduct training sessions.
• Participates in platform field escalations with emphasis on Dextro primary support and secondary support for Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition, and Clean products.
• Wafer Handling / Robotics experience required.
• Applies engineering theories and research techniques in investigations and problem resolution.
• Designs experiments and tests for development of methods, hardware, standards, or processes.
• Institutes and owns corrective actions and handoff of solutions to Technical Services and Field teams.
• Highly quantitative, able to articulate plans and findings to customers.
• Travel up to 40%+.
