Archdiocese of Seattle is seeking a Regional Bookkeeper to provide comprehensive parish bookkeeping services for Sacred Heart Parish in Lacey, WA, in line with archdiocesan policies. This full-time role manages accounts, payroll, and financial reporting across multiple parish locations.

You will coordinate contributions, assist in budgets, and support the Parish Finance Council while ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bookkeeping, accounting, or similar role.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to maintain separate books for three different locations.
• Must be able to travel between locations.
• Experience with Microsoft365 strongly preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.

Responsabilités

• Maintains accounts payable and receivable ledgers, prepares and submits a monthly financial statement to the pastor and Finance Council.
• Maintains parish banking accounts, processes check requests, and verifies expenditure authorizations.
• Reconciles bank statements on a monthly basis.
• Tracks monthly staff payroll and ensures taxes are withheld and quarterly reports are filed.
• Accounts for contributions to the parish and deposits weekly.
• Coordinates volunteers for money-counting and record-keeping.
• Administers pension, medical, dental, life, long-term disability, and other benefits for parish employees.
• Supports budget preparation and provides financial information to leadership.
• Serves as staff to Parish Finance Council and assists fundraising efforts.
