Sacred Heart Parish in Lacey, WA is seeking a Regional Bookkeeper to provide bookkeeping services for the parish in accordance with Archdiocesan policies. The role covers multiple locations and includes managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and compliance reporting. Reports to Jackie Shirley.

The position requires strong attention to detail, experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft 365, and the ability to travel between parish locations. Benefits are included.

Formación

• Experience in a bookkeeping, accounting, or similar role.
• Must be able to travel between locations.
• Experience with Microsoft365 strongly preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with parish staff, volunteers, and archdiocesan staff.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains accounts payable and receivable ledgers, prepares and submits a financial statement monthly.
• Maintains parish banking accounts and verifies expenditures.
• Reconciles bank statements monthly.
• Tracks monthly staff payroll and ensures tax withholding and timely government reports.
• Accounts for all parish contributions and deposits weekly.
• Coordinates volunteers for money-counting and record-keeping.
• Administers benefits for parish employees (pension, insurance, 403(b), etc.).
• Supports annual parish budget preparation with financial information and forecasts.
• Serves as staff to Parish Finance Council as requested.
