The City of New York’s Department of Social Services seeks an Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist II to supervise Benefits Access Center staff, oversee eligibility determinations and economic support services, and promote self-sufficiency among clients in accordance with federal, state, and local mandates.

Under the Deputy Regional Manager, you will lead program planning meetings with FIA management and partners, conduct audits, develop procedures, and coordinate staff training to ensure

Formación

• A bachelor's degree with four years of relevant work experience, including supervisory/managerial duties.
• A four-year high school diploma and eight years of relevant work experience, with at least eighteen months in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable per policy.

Responsabilidades

• Lead BOS staff and supervise eligibility determinations and related services.
• Direct program planning and development meetings with FIA/HRA leadership and partner agencies.
• Direct management audits of Benefits Access Center operations and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and revise procedures, forms, and office practices; oversee pilot implementations as needed.
• Coordinate staffing, training, and staff assignments with Executive Regional Manager and Regional Managers.
• Advise on top-level staffing and office needs, including physical plant and relocation recommendations.
• Oversee follow-up studies to ensure corrective actions and procedures are properly implemented.
