Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations. You will lead and develop Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, coaching teams to meet client needs and strengthen performance while balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail, service, or operations with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Demonstrated leadership to coach and hold teams accountable across locations.
• Proven ability to drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize demands across locations.
• Experience managing facilities, staffing, or compliance operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including handling escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to travel frequently in-day between offices to maintain presence.
• Ability to work scheduling across locations including evenings and weekends.

• Own consistent delivery of consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, setting clear expectations.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors, feedback, and performance outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor metrics and take actions to improve business results and client acquisition.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, equipment, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
