Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to manage 4-6 retail offices and ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations. You’ll lead and develop Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, coaching teams to anticipate client needs and provide expert guidance with a welcoming, confident presence.

You’ll own office readiness, staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/operations with accountability for outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership with ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple locations and exercise independent judgment.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate into action.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift, carry up to 20 pounds with/without accommodation.
• Ability to travel frequently day trips, minimal overnight, across offices.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and feedback.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and act to improve results, acquisition, retention.
