Job summary

H&R Block seeks a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality client experience across locations.

You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, manage staffing, facilities, compliance, and daily operations, and drive revenue and client retention through strong leadership and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi‑unit retail/service/ops with accountability for performance.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven leadership ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to drive business/financial results while managing daily ops across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment across multiple locations.
• Experience managing facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, including handling escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Willingness to travel frequently between offices for in‑person presence.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices with disciplined execution.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations and drive improvements.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting expectations and coaching.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors, performance outcomes, and real‑time feedback.
• Identify patterns across offices and address performance gaps; develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, operational performance, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
