Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices, delivering a consistent, high‑quality client experience. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, and drive both client outcomes and business performance with hands‑on leadership across locations.

You will own office readiness, staffing, facilities, compliance, and day‑to‑day operations, while aligning priorities to strengthen execution and revenue growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi‑unit environment with performance accountability.
• Strong client‑centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to drive business/financial results while managing day‑to‑day ops across locations (labor).
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize across locations.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance ops.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; handle escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations; act on insights.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals; set expectations and coach.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors, performance, and feedback.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics; take actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices (staffing, scheduling, compliance, SOPs).
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, supplies, and recruitment for seasonal demand.
