Job summary

Shopko Optical is seeking a Regional Manager in Dilworth, MN to oversee the performance of multiple optical centers. You will drive sales and EBITDA, manage staffing and compliance, and build a high-performing leadership team to ensure superior patient experiences across the region.

The role requires 5+ years of multi-unit retail management, strong coaching abilities, and excellent planning and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant business field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of multi-unit retail management experience.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build teammate relationships in an environment of fast change; must be able to direct, and motivate a diverse teammate population.
• Strong planning, analysis, and organizational skills.
• Able to work collaboratively in a matrix environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to thrive within a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

Responsibilities

• Drive business by developing and executing merchandise, operational, and customer service strategies to deliver sales, gross margin and EBITDA.
• Execute quality center visits to validate patient/customer service standards are met.
• Provide feedback and coaching on optician performance during visits.
• Establish and monitor center operations guidelines.
• Ensure operational exceptions are addressed and resolved.
• Stay up to date on regional competition.
• Oversee onboarding for new General Managers and Optometrists; ensure training is effective.
• Provide parameters for accountability and decision-making.
• Communicate proactively to centers and corporate partners.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and positively.
• Work with HR on staffing, performance management, and employee relations.
