Job summary

Merck in the United States seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to support Strategic Operating Priorities. This credentialed director-level Medical Affairs role engages in scientific exchange with leaders and provides balanced information about Company products and non-product areas of interest.

You will liaison between scientific community and Merck to enhance understanding of approved and development programs, align with GMSA

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond degree, COPD/Respiratory.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
• Thorough knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and related guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs for approved medical information on COPD/respiratory topics.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contact within the company.
• Addresses scientific questions and guides SL inquiries to appropriate resources.
• Keeps current knowledge of the scientific environment in the AOI and communicates insights.
