Job summary

MAA is seeking a Sales and Leasing Manager to oversee leasing operations across a portfolio of apartment communities. You will lead leasing teams, drive lead engagement, and coordinate with marketing partners to optimize occupancy and financial performance.

You will recruit, train, and mentor staff, conduct market research, and ensure compliant leasing processes. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with flexibility for weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of leasing and/or sales experience.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Driver's license from state of residence for market travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises leasing and prospect engagement teams across a designated property portfolio.
• Ensures recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff training.
• Oversees daily leasing operations to deliver personalized experiences.
• Monitors tour schedules, staffing, and contact volume to optimize engagement.
• Provides leadership during property tours, follow-ups, and leasing activities.
• Coordinates regional leasing contests, specials, and marketing initiatives.
