Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff across multiple Texas sites. You will ensure timely, quality service within budget while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Ideal candidates bring at least two years of management experience in a service industry, strong English communication, and a track record of leadership, teamwork, and conflict resolution. This is a full-time role based at client locations and requires travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• Business-level English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead, encourage teamwork, and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Select and place janitorial personnel; hire decisions and performance reviews.
• Align with company's principles, core values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect cleanliness, and ensure quality of service.
• Prepare schedules and keep account within labor budget.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training.
• Handle time sheets, incident reports, training records, and orders.
• Coach employees and maintain open lines of communication.
• Visit accounts to ensure highest quality of service and relationships.
• Resolve customer problems promptly to maximize satisfaction.
• Document contacts and follow up to close issues.
• Monitor accounts for additional work opportunities.
• Ensure quality control site visits are completed.
• Spend time at locations to support outcomes.
