Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to oversee janitorial staff across multiple sites in Texas. You will ensure high-quality service, manage staffing, and maintain budgets while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include hiring decisions, training, scheduling, and fostering strong client relationships. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a focus on safety and quality control across accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business-level English communication (speaking, reading, writing) required.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Select and place janitorial personnel; hiring decisions, performance appraisals, development plans.
• Understand and champion company values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect work for cleanliness and quality; review work performed.
• Manage work procedures and schedules within labor budget.
• Conduct orientation and safety training for hourly staff.
• Prepare time sheets, reports, and related documentation.
• Foster communication; assist with employee relations and coaching.
