Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure high-quality service within budget. The role focuses on customer satisfaction, safety training, and effective workforce management.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of management experience in a service-related field, strong English communication skills, and the ability to lead and develop teams across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business level oral and written communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service skills; active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Oversee janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure quality service.
• Maintain customer satisfaction within the established budget.
• Schedule and assign tasks; monitor labor costs and performance.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training for hourly employees.
• Prepare time sheets, accident reports, and work orders.
• Build relationships with customers by visiting accounts regularly.
• Address issues promptly to resolve concerns and ensure quality.
• Ensure quality control site visits are completed and recorded.
• Spend time on-site to support outcomes and meet customer needs.
