Job summary

Emerus, a leader in small-format hospitals, is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist staff with applications, troubleshoot hardware and software, and maintain end-user systems. You will work with the IT team and travel up to 40% as needed to support regional facilities.

The role requires an Associates degree or equivalent, 1+ year in helpdesk or systems administration, and experience with Windows, Active Directory, imaging desktops, and standard office software.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical work experience or certifications.
• 1+ year of experience in application, technical support, desktop, helpdesk, or systems administration.
• Experience supporting Windows based users in a Microsoft Active Directory Domain environment required.
• Experience Imaging desktops and laptops.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no direction and interact with management, staff, vendors, and consultants.
• Experience troubleshooting basic LAN/WAN issues.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Visio and Project application knowledge preferred.
• Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed within last 5 years, or obtained before start date.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot problems relating to computer equipment operating system software, application software, and hardware
• Maintain hardware and software inventory for responsible facilities
• Log and track calls using problem management database and maintain history records and related problems documentation.
• Develop training documents to new users as needed
• Provide a high level of service and customer satisfaction to the end user
• Formulate recommendations regarding company end user hardware and software purchases
• Manage antivirus/spyware software and updates
• Travel up to 40% of the time to fulfill responsibilities
• Ownership of region-wide hardware asset management
