Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support to staff across company applications, troubleshoot hardware and software, and maintain asset inventory.

This role reports to the Director of IT and requires independent work by supporting Windows users in an Active Directory environment. You will travel up to 40% to support regional facilities, develop user training, and help select hardware and software upgrades while ensuring confidentiality and strong

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical work experience.
• 1+ year of experience in application, technical support, desktop, helpdesk, or systems administration.
• Experience supporting Windows based users in a Microsoft Active Directory Domain environment.
• Experience imaging desktops and laptops.
• Ability to work independently with little direction and collaborate with management, staff, vendors and consultants.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot problems related to computer equipment, OS software, applications, and hardware.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory for responsible facilities.
• Log and track calls using problem management database and maintain history records.
• Develop training documents for new users as needed.
• Provide high level of service and customer satisfaction to end users.
• Recommend hardware and software purchases for the organization.
• Manage antivirus/spyware software and updates.
• Attend staff meetings and required company meetings.
• Work off-hours and on-call when required.
• Ownership of region-wide hardware asset management.

The purpose of this position is to provide technical support to staff on all company supported applications, troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems, answers support requests and elevate to appropriate IT resources when necessary. This position requires working independently with minimal supervision from Director of IT.

• Formulate recommendations regarding company end user hardware and software purchases
• Manage antivirus/spyware software and updates
• Travel up to 40% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position required.
• Ownership of region-wide hardware asset management
• Maintain confidentiality and security standards and policies for the organization
• Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
• Ability to work off-hours and on call when required
• Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical work experience or certifications
• 1+ year of experience in application, technical support, desktop, helpdesk, or systems administration.
• Experience supporting Windows based users in a Microsoft Active Directory Domain environment required.
• Experience Imaging desktops and laptops
• Must be able to work independently with little or no direction. Must also be able to work closely with all levels of management, staff, vendors and consultants
• Experience troubleshooting basic LAN\\WAN issues
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Visio and Project application knowledge preferred.
• Pennsylvania Candidates Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), & Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Customer service and/or healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with supporting electronic medical records, healthcare billing revenue cycle system or similar product preferred.
