Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer to provide technical leadership within our Power and Energy practice. You will lead HV substation design from 230kV to 345kV, serve as EOR, review deliverables, and mentor engineers across multiple offices.

You will help drive project delivery, develop engineering standards, and support business growth while coordinating with clients and partners. Travel up to 10% is expected, with preferred locations including OH, PA, NJ, NY, VA, GA and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related discipline required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
15 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Lead design, execution, and delivery of HV substation projects from 230kV to 345kV.
Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for substation physical design.
Review and approve engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with standards.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated project delivery.
Drive quality reviews and development of engineering standards.
