Job summary

McKinsey & Company in Washington, DC is seeking an HR professional to coordinate the colleague lifecycle across the Midwest and Atlantic regions. You will support onboarding, offboarding, mobility, and performance processes while ensuring compliance and excellent colleague experience.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will become an expert in People Central and ServiceNow, translate data into insights, and partner with business leaders to drive talent decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years HR experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Ability to navigate sensitive and complex employee situations with care.
• Strong organizational capabilities and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in-person in Washington DC 2–3 days per week.
• Experience with HR systems (People Central, ServiceNow) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR elements across the lifecycle of the colleague experience for the Midwest and Atlantic regions.
• Deliver frontline HR support while ensuring compliance with risk topics and legal requirements.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding logistics, including I-9s and first-day experience.
• Oversee mobility programs and internal rotations across the region.
• Serve as regional HR data and reporting expert with month-end audits and stakeholder requests.
• Partner on performance management and colleague development processes.
