Job summary

Applegreen USA seeks an HR Generalist to support front-line HR operations across 17 Travel Plazas in Pennsylvania. The role emphasizes employee relations investigations, coaching managers, recruiting, onboarding, and policy compliance.

You will report to the HR Business Partner and work with regional teams to standardize practices, maintain documentation, and drive an engaging and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, investigations, recruiting, and onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Working knowledge of employment laws (ADA, FLSA, FMLA).
• Ability to manage workplace disputes with objectivity and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to interact with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations investigations across 17 Travel Plazas in the PA region and coach site leaders on action plans.
• Provide timely coaching to managers on performance, policy application, documentation, and employee concerns.
• Support full-cycle recruiting: posting, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain thorough documentation.
• Develop weekly tracking and monthly district reports to identify trends and risks.
• Assist with onboarding and partner with regional HR to standardize practices across locations.
