Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in Pennsylvania is seeking an HR Generalist to lead front-line HR support for 17 Travel Plazas across the region. You will report to the HR Business Partner and drive employee relations investigations, coaching, staffing initiatives, compliance, and culture-building efforts.

The role requires 3–5 years HR experience, a bachelor's degree in HR or related field, and strong knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

3-5 years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, investigations, recruiting and onboarding.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; equivalent directly related work experience may be considered.
Working knowledge of employment laws including ADA, FLSA, and FMLA.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and listening skills; ability to communicate sensitive information clearly.
Experience creating employee reports, analyzing data, and identifying trends.

Responsibilities

Conduct employee relations, investigations, and people-practice assessments across locations.
Lead workplace investigations and recommend actions based on findings.
Provide coaching to managers on performance management, policy application, and employee concerns.
Ensure timely follow-up and documentation of corrective actions from investigations.
Oversee action plans from site-specific trends, compliance opportunities, and survey results.
Support full-cycle recruiting: posting, screening, interviewing, hiring decisions, onboarding.
Partner with HR partners to ensure onboarding experience for new hires.
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local laws; escalate risks.
