Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing communities with deep LIHTC and Section 8 expertise. The role requires traveling within the region at least four days per week to ensure operational and financial success across properties.

You will hire and mentor property managers, manage budgets, leasing strategies, and compliance, while driving occupancy and financial performance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of management experience within the industry.
• Expert level knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, and Section 8 compliance.
• Skilled in budget planning for a large portfolio and leading and mentoring teams.
• Strong communication, financial, leadership and negotiation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of multi-family property management practices; proficiency in PM software such as Onesite or Real Page.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain property management strategies to achieve revenue goals.
• Keep senior management apprised of key property, personnel and resident issues.
• Travel to sites within region minimum of 4 days a week.
• Hire, train and supervise property managers and maintenance/housekeeping staff.
• Perform performance appraisals for property management personnel.
• Assist in paperwork filing and compliance deadlines.
• Conduct quarterly site visits for audits and support on-site teams.
• Oversee finances, compliance, projects, and goal achievement.
• Oversee leasing and marketing to maximize occupancy.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
• Provide leadership to on-site managers and staff.
• Conduct regular property inspections and assess maintenance needs.
