Valley National Bank is seeking a Regional Leader to oversee 15-17 retail branches in the New Jersey region. You will coach Branch Managers, drive performance, and push growth in deposits, loans and wallet share while maintaining a culture of accountability and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance, growth and sales for 15-17 branch locations within a region.
• Coach and develop Branch Managers to sustain high performance and operational excellence across branches.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, recognition and continuous improvement.
• Drive small business and consumer deposit growth through lead generation, outreach and community engagement.
• Monitor key sales metrics and take actions to sustain or improve results.
• Visit branches regularly to coach leaders and develop branch teams for better customer engagement and wallet share growth.
• Ensure swift, professional remediation of customer concerns.
• Develop and maintain centers of influence to increase referrals and strengthen consumer, mortgage and SMB loan/deposit pipelines.
• Set and manage branch-to-branch objectives and action plans to hit regional targets.
• Provide leadership, training, coaching, and succession planning for all regional associates.
• Promote a customer-centric culture across branches and deliver exceptional client experiences.
• Control expenses and attrition while maximizing regional revenue opportunities.
• Lead performance evaluations for Branch Managers and advise on salary recommendations.
• Oversee recruiting and hiring to build a strong regional team and high-potential talent.
• Ensure compliance with CRA obligations and regional service requirements.
• Collaborate across business lines to meet holistic client financial needs.
