Valley National Bank is seeking a District Executive to lead a defined region of 15-17 retail branches, driving growth, performance and customer experience. You will coach branch managers, foster accountability, and ensure regulatory and community obligations are met.

Responsibilities include strategic performance management, lead generation, and collaboration across lines to maximize market opportunity. Exempt, full-time role based in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years of Branch Management / related managerial experience with heavy emphasis on business clientele.
• Demonstrated prior experience in business-to-business sales and sales management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, growth and sales efforts of 15-17 retail branch locations within an assigned region.
• Coach and develop a team of Branch Managers to drive consistent performance and operational excellence.
• Build and maintain a high-performing culture focused on accountability, associate engagement, recognition and continuous improvement.
• Ensure branch associates are actively engaged in Small Business and Consumer deposit growth activities, including lead execution and community engagement.
• Monitor sales metrics and take action to sustain or improve results.
• Conduct regular branch visits to observe behaviors and support development of staff.
• Lead recruiting and hiring of branch associates; identify high-potential talent.
• Ensure the region meets all CRA service obligations.
