Valley National Bank is seeking a Regional Branch Manager to lead 15-17 retail branches in a designated New Jersey region. You will direct performance, coaching and sales activity while fostering a culture of accountability and customer-centric service.

Lead a team of Branch Managers, drive deposits and loan growth, and build strong community relationships. This role requires strategic planning, staff development, and strong execution across the region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance, growth and sales of 15-17 retail branches in assigned region.
• Coach and develop Branch Managers to drive consistent performance and operational excellence.
• Build and maintain a culture focused on accountability, engagement, recognition and continuous improvement.
• Drive Small Business and Consumer deposit growth through lead generation and proactive outreach.
• Monitor sales metrics and take actions to sustain or improve results.
• Visit branches regularly to coach leaders and develop staff for higher customer engagement and wallet share growth.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop centers of influence to increase quality referrals and build robust loan and deposit pipelines.
• Set branch-to-branch objectives and detailed sales/service action plans to hit regional targets.
• Provide leadership, training, coaching and succession planning for all regional associates.
• Promote a customer-centric culture and exceptional client experiences across all branches.
• Control expenses and maximize revenue opportunities while mitigating attrition.
• Conduct performance evaluations and salary recommendations for Branch Managers and staff.
• Lead recruitment and development of branch associates, identifying high-potential talent.
• Ensure regional compliance with CRA service obligations and collaborate across business lines to meet holistic client needs.
