Job summary

Richelieu Hardware Ltd. is seeking a General Manager to take full operational responsibility for the US region, including Boston, MA; Portland, ME; Rocky Hill, CT and surrounding areas. You will lead a team across sales, operations and customer service, with focus on growth and profitability.

The role requires leadership of branch and sales managers, strategic oversight of logistics, and a strong emphasis on performance metrics and process improvements to drive business success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading outside sales and operations teams in industrial or building materials distribution.
• Commercial or sales-driven mindset with leadership in sales.
• Deep knowledge of complete branch office operations including P&L responsibility.
• Empathetic leader with high emotional intelligence and team development.
• Excellent communication skills across internal teams, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage people, processes and overall company performance for the US region.
• Drive regional sales growth through coaching and strategy for sales managers and outside sales team.
• Oversee branch managers and ensure efficient order processing, shipping and receiving.
• Maintain accountability for regional P&L and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory rules across operations.
• Lead recruitment, training and development to meet company goals.
• Improve processes and procedures for efficiency across departments.
• Monitor daily KPIs for sales and operations performance.
