Job summary

Richelieu is seeking a General Manager to take full operational responsibility for the US region, including Boston, MA, Portland, ME, and surrounding areas. You will drive regional sales growth, own P&L, and lead branch operations, logistics, and customer service to ensure on-time, compliant performance.

The role requires an empathetic leadership style, strong communication, and a focus on KPIs to build a high-performance culture across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience leading outside sales and operations teams in industrial/building materials distribution.
• Commercial or sales-driven mindset with leadership in sales.
• Deep knowledge of branch office operations including P&L responsibility.
• Empathetic leader with strong emotional intelligence and ability to develop team members.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• KPI-oriented, well organized, with strong communication aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Grow regional sales through existing customers and new business by coaching and directing sales and operations teams.
• Own strategic growth of customer accounts in the US region including Boston, MA.
• Support Branch Managers to process orders and manage shipping/receiving accurately, safely, and on time.
• Take accountability for complete P&L and regional growth and success.
• Maintain effective communication flows across departments and with suppliers and customers.
• Ensure compliance of logistics operations with EH&S and regulatory rules.
• Advise managers on recruitment and team development to hit company goals.
• Develop strategies to improve processes and drive efficiency across departments.
• Maintain daily KPIs on sales and operations performance and drive a positive culture.
