Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Region Fleet Manager to optimize the company’s fleet, drive revenue and profitability, and improve operational efficiency. You will implement a fleet plan under the RVP, with direct impact on regional performance and customer satisfaction.

In this role you’ll work with regional finance, corporate fleet management, and field leaders to analyze metrics, adjust fleet mix, and manage expenses against the Capex plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–7 years fleet management experience preferred.
• Experience optimizing fleet mix and utilization.
• Experience utilizing various sales channels to yield results.
• Proficient with MS Excel and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with region finance and Corporate Fleet Management to analyze key metrics.
• Promote best practices to support Operations United Strategy.
• Collaborate with DMs and BMs to implement corrective actions.
• Review CERs to ensure optimal fleet before purchase approvals and manage expenses to Capex plan.
• Coordinate fleet transfers and sale packages regionally and beyond.
• Determine and manage optimal fleet mix in collaboration with field management.
• Assist in supplier evaluations and annual vendor reviews.
• Track usage/movement of non-rental fleet with Vehicle Fleet Manager.
• Dispose excess underutilized fleet to maximize return.
• Contribute to budget process and regional trade area reviews.
