Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Region Fleet Manager to optimize the fleet across the region, driving revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

You will partner with finance and Corporate Fleet Management to analyze metrics, develop fleet plans, and implement corrective actions with field leaders. You will manage capex alignment, coordinate transfers, and determine ideal fleet mix while communicating advantages to customers and supporting vendor reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years fleet management experience.
• Field operations management experience optimizing fleet mix and utilization.
• Experience using multiple sales channels (web, auction, new/used).
• Strong change management, conflict resolution, customer service, decision making.
• Financial acumen and ability to manage through others.
• Proficiency in reporting tools (MS Excel, BI, RentalMan).

Responsibilities

• Analyze metrics with finance and corporate teams to optimize fleet utilization.
• Develop and execute regional fleet plans aligned to policy and goals.
• Manage expenses to the Capex plan and coordinate fleet transfers.
• Determine optimal fleet mix with field leadership and market trends.
• Communicate fleet advantages to customers and participate in vendor reviews.
• Track non-rental fleet usage and disposal to maximize returns.
• Assist budgeting reviews and revenue/profitability targets for the region.
