Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Regional Fleet Maintenance Specialist to oversee fleet maintenance operations across multiple locations in the region. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, cost control, and compliance with company standards and regulations, reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager.

You will supervise maintenance staff, manage preventive and corrective programs, and champion fleet software adoption to improve scheduling, tracking, and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in fleet or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience with diesel engines, DOT-regulated vehicles, and off-road equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise garage maintenance activities, including scheduling, work assignments, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with operations managers to prioritize and schedule maintenance based on needs, equipment, and safety.
• Ensure timely repair orders and maintenance logs using fleet maintenance software.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment for readiness and safety compliance.
• Provide technical guidance for bulk equipment repairs and diagnostics.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluating maintenance personnel.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
