Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Regional Fleet Maintenance Specialist to oversee maintenance across multiple locations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will manage preventive and corrective programs and drive adoption of fleet software across the region.

Reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager and guides maintenance personnel while coordinating with local operations to meet safety and performance goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years of fleet or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with diesel engines, DOT-regulated vehicles, and off-road equipment.
• Familiarity with cargo tank inspection standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise garage maintenance activities, schedule work, and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with operations managers to prioritize maintenance based on needs.
• Ensure timely completion of repair orders and maintenance logs using fleet software.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for readiness and safety compliance.
• Provide technical guidance for bulk repairs and diagnostics.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluating maintenance personnel.
• Oversee parts inventory and procurement to control costs.
• Champion safety culture and compliance with DOT/OSHA/MSHA standards.
